The Story

Developed with guitar phenom Andy Wood, the Gearbox dual overdrive pedal packs two of Wampler's most revered drive circuits into one feature-packed stompbox. Channel one is a tweaked version of the Tumnus — Wampler's take on the legendary transparent OD. Channel two is based on a modified Pinnacle circuit, arming you with hot-rodded British-style distortion by the truckload. The Gearbox boasts plenty of sound-shaping controls for each channel, and it permits you to change the stacking order of the circuits for added versatility. You also get a high-quality noise gate, plus separate I/O for each channel to accommodate complex routing schemes. Running a transparent overdrive into a modded British-style stack is considered by many to be the apex of electric guitar tone, and the Wampler Gearbox serves it to you on a silver platter.

Two independent channels in a single stompbox

The Wampler Gearbox dual overdrive pedal features two independent circuits in one enclosure. Channel one is a tweaked version of the Tumnus circuit, with Level, Tone, and Gain knobs. Channel two is a modified Pinnacle circuit, with Gain, Level, Bass, Mids, and Treble knobs. Channel two also boasts a Gate control for filtering out unwanted noise. The guitarists here appreciate having two independently footswitchable channels at our disposal. Plus, this pedal's built-in noise gate ensures a studio-ready, stage-ready sound.
